Recognized as an Industry Trailblazer
While Agilex is a fairly young company, founded in 2007, we have already been honored for our commitment to excellence and innovation. This includes major industry awards and recognition for our market leadership and growth as well as for the world-class results that we deliver to our clients.
Recognition for Agilex includes the following:
- 2011 Greater Washington Government Contractor of the Year – The annual GovCon Awards are presented by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology. Agilex was named the Government Contractor of the Year in the $25-75M category.
- National Capital Business Ethics Awards – This award recognizes businesses that “exemplify a strong commitment to business excellence and to the highest standards of civic and social responsibility, integrity and ethical conduct.” It is presented annually by the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in partnership with George Mason University. Agilex was the 2011 award winner in the medium company category.
- The Northern Virginia Technology Council’s (NVTC) Hottest Emerging Government Contractor for 2010 – Agilex was honored as the preeminent ‘fast start’ government services provider for the entire Washington, DC region due to our significant growth, technology innovation and customer successes in just three years of operations.
- The Washington Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies – Spanning all industries, Agilex was named the region’s 12th Fastest Growing Company in 2011 and the Fastest Growing Company overall in 2010. Among the 18 companies qualifying for both year’s list, Agilex delivered the fastest four-year growth overall.
- CRN’s VAR500 – Published by CRN magazine, the VAR500 ranks across all sectors the largest value-added resellers, solution providers and integrators in North America by total revenue. Following just four years of operations, Agilex debuted in the top half of the 17th annual list at #246.
- CRN Fast Growth 100 – CRN magazine also named Agilex the 19th fastest growing solution provider in North America in its 2011 Fast Growth 100 rankings.
- The Healthcare Informatics 100 (HCI 100) – On the basis of healthcare revenue, Agilex was ranked among the top 100 health IT companies in the nation by Healthcare Informatics magazine. In 2010, we debuted in our first year of eligibility as the second youngest firm on the HCI 100. Agilex also reported the fastest three-year growth of any listed company that year. In the 2011 HCI 100, Agilex delivered the third highest growth overall.
- Healthcare VAR 100 – Created by CRN magazine, this ranking recognizes the top IT solution providers, software developers and system integrators to the U.S. healthcare sector. Agilex was recognized for its leadership in the federal sector.
- Washington SmartCEO’s GovStar Award – Sponsored by Washington SmartCEO magazine and Sheppard Mullin, this new program honors large, medium and small government services providers for their outstanding performance in five categories. Agilex was named the winner for Virginia in the Star Performer category for medium-size businesses, which recognizes the industry’s fastest growing companies
- Venture Summit Mid-Atlantic 100 Winner - This award recognizes companies that have demonstrated leadership within their peer group and possess game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players in the Mid-Atlantic region. Led by the AlwaysOn editorial team, who are the premier source for analysis and market intelligence for the emerging technology sector, the judges added Agilex to the list on the basis of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.
- Tech Council of Maryland's Government Contracting Firm of the Year Finalist – Agilex was one of three finalist for Government Contractor of the Year for the entire Washington, DC region.
In addition, Agilex professionals are being recognized for their leadership and industry contributions, including:
- 2011 Federal 100 – Agilex CTO Tim Hoechst was named by Federal Computer Week to the Federal 100. This prestigious award recognizes the most significant contributions to federal government IT over the past year.
Award-winning Programs
The development of the CONNECT Solution for the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) is one of the most lauded programs in government IT. Through the use of agile software development practices, we were able to deliver this ground-breaking project in a fraction of the time or cost typically required. Among the awards that the Federal Health Architecture (FHA) program has garnered for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) are the following:
- 2010 GOSCON Open Source in Government Award – The FHA program was recognized for using open source technologies to deliver the Best Intergovernmental Collaboration solution for healthcare.
- Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award for Health IT – The Wall Street Journal named the CONNECT solution one of the year’s foremost technology innovations in the world.
- 2010 Government Computer News Award – Honors outstanding achievements in government with a special emphasis on the innovative use of technology.
- 2010 ACT-IAC Intergovernmental Solutions Award – Recognizes cross-agency programs that demonstrate excellence in the management and application of technology.
- InformationWeek’s Government Innovation Award – Named one of 2009’s top ten examples of innovation in government IT.
- InfoWorld’s Top 100 IT Projects of 2009 – Celebrates the IT organizations that have implemented and integrated technologies in innovative ways to achieve concrete business results.
Working with U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Agilex led the development of the agency’s Common Delivery Platform. Leveraging a number of innovative and emerging technologies, this initiative consolidated and modernized application infrastructure by standardizing hardware, software and support processes. The benefits of this program include significant cost savings, improved reliability and security, and greater operational flexibility. Awards for this program include the following:
- InformationWeek’s Government Innovation Award – Named one of 2011’s top fifteen examples of innovation in government IT.
- SNW Spring 2011 Best Practices Awards Program – Named a finalist by ComputerWorld and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) for Best Practices in Adopting Emerging and Innovative Technologies.
